The Northern Lite 10-2 CD SE truck camper is known for the 2 piece molded fiberglass exterior. The clamshell design is put together like 2 boat hulls reducing seams, maintenance, leaks, and deterioration with age. The roof and sides (as well as the lower sides and bottom) are molded together with only the center seam running horizontally throughout the exterior of the camper. This type of construction not only adds strength but reduces the weight by about 25% compared to traditional construction methods . The camper is fully insulated using block foam insulation on the floor, walls, and ceilings with double insulation under the cab over bed area to reduce moisture and insure sleeping comfort in extreme weather. Yep, it’s a 4 season camper, made in Canada, and ready for just about any type of weather you want to camp in. In the heat of the summer, you can walk in a Northern Lite and immediately notice a cooler temperature compared to other campers.
Outside goodies include a power awning with a light strip on the rear, and standard awning on the side, a generator, electric jacks, rear ladder, and a pass through window behind the truck cab that allows you to see out the window in the back door!
Although Northern Lite does not make a truck camper with a slide out, the space inside is remarkable. The bathroom can be a wet or dry bath layout and is located to the left when you walk in the camper. On the right, there is a large storage cabinet, drawers and a hanging closet giving you plenty of space for clothing and other gear. The hardwood in these cabinets is gorgeous! The dinette has the easy glide table and makes a 39″x75″ bed. Kitchen storage includes drawers, a nice glass top on the 3 burner stove/oven that doubles as counter space, and an oversize stainless steel sink. The large tip out windows on this truck camper both in the kitchen/ dinette area and the bed area make it feel open and spacious!
The cabover includes a true queen mattress (60 x 80) more storage on both sides, a 24” swing out bracket TV, and an acrylic skylight for extra ventilation, star-gazing, etc.
