Retro and throwback are all the rage these days in the RV world… but everybody wants the look of old with the materials and quality of the new products that are out there, now. Not to mention, getting your hands on a vintage trailer in good shape to refurbish and update is an expensive proposition in time and money. Well, a beloved trailer design from yesteryear is back and built like the new guys! Bring in the Holiday House 18 RB Deluxe, new for 2019!
Let’s Dive Into The Details!
The new Holiday House sports an all aluminum Chassis, walls and roof. All of the structural components are fabricated in-house to ensure quality and consistency.
The “Worldwide Wrap-Around View Window” gives a spectacular look and view. The Corner windows are made of ¼” thick polycarbonate material that is shatterproof and designed to block 100% of UV rays. The center window is ¼” thick tempered glass with an aluminum clamp ring. This glass is used by concession and event trailers around the world.
The Aluminum Front Step is made in the plant. It will never rust and there are no hinges to stick or squeak. IT WON’T PINCH FINGERS!
The All-Weather Fiberglass Forepeak is molded from marine grade fiberglass and it is reinforced on all corners and attachment areas. It sports a gloss white gel coat finish.
The old-school character of the trailer is enhanced by the mill-finish, clamp ring windows. These windows give the trailer a vintage look with updated performance. Even the classic aluminum drip rails have a period correct finish.
The trailer has heavy duty torsion axles, wheel and tires. It has a 4400# torsion axle with never lube hubs, electric brakes on all wheels, steel powder coated rims, and purpose made “ST” (special trailer) rated tires. Stainless low-profile trim rings and chrome baby moon caps complete the look. There are no shortcuts here!
About the “Everlasting Aluminum Exterior”: Its white and color accent aluminum panels are .030 thickness and powder coated in high-gloss color. The “bright polished” panels are finished with a clear powder coat for years of shine without buffing or treating
Genuine Lucia Oak Walls and Paneling is found throughout the trailer. There is no vinyl wrapping or paper wrapping here… actual wood paneling with birch veneer stained in a warm golden tone.
Hardwood cabinetry and doors are found inside. All cabinetry is made of solid wood, as are the cabinet doors and drawer fronts. No OSB, particle board or pressed cardboard anywhere!
Fiberglass Insulation – R14 rated insulation in the roof and all walls.
For comfort and efficiency, an all-seasons subfloor is made from 1” thick Greencor. Greencor is a 100% recycled, 90% post-consumer product which will not absorb water, or odors, and it is mold and mildew repellent. It’s wrapped around a polypropylene honeycomb core adding strength and insulation. This material wipes down easily and frustrates rodents, bugs and other critters who try and access your RV.
